The Toy Retailers Association has revealed the 12 most sought after children’s presents this Christmas.
The toy industry has suffered from a difficult year and is hoping for a much-needed boost this Christmas.
The toys in the list, which range from £22.99 to £91.99, include two competing children’s iPads.
LeapPad’s Explorer Tablet and the VTech Inno Tab draw heavily on the Apple iPad’s design and come complete with touch screen and various apps such as games, mp3 players and ebook readers.

The gadgets are set to be a hit with tech savvy youngsters but an expensive luxury for cash-strapped parents this Christmas.
Milky the Bunny is also featured in the list, which is an interactive toy with a grumbling tummy and moving eyes.
However, they were all beaten to the top of the list by Doggie Doo, a toy Dachshund that excretes plasticine faeces when it is taken for a walk.
The toy teaches children how to use pooper scoopers, which are included in the box, according to its manufacturer Ideal.
