Banana Republic to open flagship store in France

Gap Inc. will bring the popular store to the Avenue des Champs Élysées in Paris in time for Christmas
 Banana Republic is coming to Paris

Gap Inc. has announced plans to bring Banana Republic to France as it continues its drive to become a major force in the European market.

Gap Inc opened its first Banana Republic store in Milan last year. It also launched a website to cater for its European shoppers.  
“With loyal customers across Europe, both in our stores and online, we are confident that Banana Republic’s proposition of affordable luxury will resonate well with Parisian customers,” said Stephen Sunnucks, the President of Gap international.
Spotify and iTunes lead a digital music revolution
Banana Republic will open its 16,000 sq ft flagship store on the Avenue des Champs Élysées in Paris in December 2011.
The flagship will offer the brand’s ready-to-wear collections and accessories for men and women as well as providing a personalised stylist by appointment.
Banana Republic is the latest American brand to come to Paris, which is among the most popular international shopping destinations in the world.  
Abercrombie & Fitch opened on the Champs Élysées this spring and Tommy Hilfiger debuted a three-story flagship store on the famous avenue in November 2010.
