The Starbucks Kraft break-up is becoming bitter every passing day.

Few days back, global coffee brewer Starbucks attempted to end its partnership with Kraft Foods, saying that Kraft has not met its responsibilities and Kraft has challenged this statement by saying that Starbucks could successfully build its retail grocer coffee business with the soul support of Kraft.

As per the latest updates, Kraft, the global confectionary maker, has revealed that Starbucks offered a huge amount, approximately $750 million to Kraft as part of their partnership closure.

Kraft has turned down Starbuck’s offer made in the meeting held at Chicago. Starbucks’ Chief Financial Officer Troy Alstead was the only key executive attending this event.

As per analysts’ estimation, the value of the Starbucks-Kraft partnership is falling between $1.5 to $2 billion.

If we look at the history, the strategic partnership between Kraft and Starbucks has a sweet beginning when Starbucks and Kraft joined hands to generate business and expand their operations in 1998.

But things have changed over the time and especially after Starbucks openly talked about the strategic disputes related to its partnership with Kraft over the Via single-cup coffee distribution process.

Starbucks, however, seems to be unaffected by its much debate corporate break-up with Kraft as the coffee maker as it has announced a new business plan at its annual investor meeting that will focus on major acquisition and expansion activities for the CPG division.
