Papa John’s has realized that launching a cool, customized iPhone application that enables customers to browse through the restaurant menu and place an order can help boost their sales and maximize their brand reach.

Papa John’s existing mobile website has fetched awesome results since its launch in 2008. The retailer believes that the new iPhone application will take care of all the core functions offered by Papa John’s mobile website.

Papa John’s has taken this drastic step after facing fierce completion from industry rivals Domino’s and Pizza Hut, which have already launched their respective apps and experienced an increase in sales.

Papa John’s International Food service is renowned for the fresh dough and tasty pizzas; the pizza maker operates 610 outlets across the world with 2,973 franchise units spread worldwide.

The retailer has recently announced a ‘Development Incentive Programme’, under which the Papa John’s outlets shortlisted for the best performance will receive rewards including the Middleby-Marshall ovens that can be purchased for $50 after two years. Plus, the plan has waived $25,000 franchise fee and one year’s royalty for qualifying new franchises.

It seems that Papa John’s is in a real mood to spread its business across the world and this time, the pizza maker has used the new technology.
