Following the breakdown of Baskin Robbins major franchisee Allied Brands, the ice cream chain has begun to look for new allies as a part of its new expansion strategy.

At present, Baskin Robbins runs more than ninety outlets in Australia and has launched five new stores right after the collapse of the Allied Brands.

Why Australian Markets?
President of Baskin Robbins Srinivas Kumar
believes that the chain has the potential to be the largest ice cream brands in the Australian market and the aim to build the brand name can be executed only with the support of the new and old franchisees in Australia. Srinivas Kumar said that he did not get that kind of a support from the previous partner Allied Brands.

"Australia has fantastic opportunities for growth, both through new and existing franchisees, which is evident by the opening of our first new stores under Baskin-Robbins International ownership. We are actively looking to increase the number of Baskin-Robbins outlets in Australia and are excited about the level of interest that is already evident in the market,” added Kumar.

Baskin Robbins ice cream chain operates under the flagship of the donut brand – Dunkin’ Donuts. Burt Baskin and Irvine Robbins were the founders of the globally popular ice cream chain – Baskin Robbins.
