A poll conducted by PR Week magazine has revealed that Walkers crisps is the favourite brand of children in the UK.
The list, which is published in this month’s issue of PR Week magazine, is based on results from 4,000 children aged seven to 15. The brands were assessed for awareness, ‘cool’ factor and parental approval.
After Walkers, The Simpsons took second place, followed by McDonald’s and Coca-Cola. In addition to food, the top 20 is dominated by products from the technology sector. Video sharing website YouTube was ranked the sixth favourite, while the Apple iPhone was the most popular phone. Notably, however, Lego is still a firm favourite among children, coming in at number 14 after being around for over 60 years.
In total, 166 brands were assessed.
