Royal Crown Derby has unveiled a luxury bauble in celebration of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first Christmas together.

The front of the commemorative bauble shows the ornately intertwined initials of Catherine and William in blue lettering beneath a large gold crown.

In the shape of an oval, the 11cm porcelain bauble is hand-finished in 22ct gold and bears the inscription ‘Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, 29th April 2011.’

The bauble features blue hearts and a similar colour scheme to the royal couple’s official wedding china memorabilia.

The extravagant bauble was designed by June Branscombe and modeled by John Ablitt, who have created a similar limited-edition Diamond Jubliee bauble celebrating 60 years of the Queen’s reign in 2012.

The £85 Christmas tree accessory will be sold by Selfridges for a limited time only.

Royal Crown Derby will make just 1,500 of the Prince William and Kate Middleton Christmas baubles.
