Samsung’s Galaxy S II has become the fastest selling handset in the history of the company.
The original Galaxy S was a huge success for Samsung but its successor is proving to be even more popular with Android fans.
At 8.5mm the Galaxy S II is the thinnest mainstream smartphone. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and features an eight-megapixel camera with 1080p video.

Other features include a dual core Samsung Exynos 4210 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage and a 4.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED plus screen.
Samsung has sold three million Galaxy S II smartphones worldwide since it was released in April.
Samsung claims it sold a Galaxy S II handset every 1.5 seconds within the device’s first 55 days on the market.
It took the Galaxy S an extra thirty days to achieve this milestone upon its release.
These sales figures are set to soar when the Galaxy S II hits the US and Canada later this month.
