US rental business Redbox has rolled out its video game rentals service nationwide.
Redbox started offering games to customers in 2009 in just a few of its kiosks. Following a successful trial run, the rental company expanded its service to more than 5,000 locations.
"Redbox has rented more than one million video games in less than two years at these locations, underscoring the popularity of video game play in America," said Redbox President Mitch Lowe earlier this year.
Now Redbox, which is directly competing with GameFly, will offer game rentals in 21,000 of its 27,000 kiosks.

The company has launched a full online listing of games, which include the recently launched Duke Nukem Forever and last year’s blockbuster Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Titles for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 will be available for $2 per day.
Customers can reserve games from home using the Redbox app or the website and collect their title from their chosen Redbox kiosk.
As with the company’s DVD and Blu-ray rentals service, customers will have 24 hours to play and return the game.
The user will be charged $2 for every day the rental is not returned.
There will also be a 30 day cut-off for the customer to keep the product and own it.
