Nail polish brand Nicole by OPI has collaborated with reality TV stars Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian for 14 new shades of the nail polish.
The American company previously partnered with teenage popstar Justin Bieber. His nail polish, which was launched last autumn, sold over one million bottles in a few months.
The Kardashian sisters rose to fame after a reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians attracted millions of viewers throughout its first five series. The sisters have also launched their own clothing boutiques, jewelry collections, perfume lines and tanning lotions, alongside a sixth series of Keeping Up with the Kardashians which is screening now.
In 2010 Kim Kardashian was the highest earning reality star, making $6 million in that year.
The Kardashian sisters launched their new nail polish collection, Kardashian Kolors, on Monday in New York.
Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director said: “We are so excited to work with everyone’s favorite TV family—the Kardashians—to share a diverse collection of fashion-forward shades.
“With lacquers ranging from high-shine and sparkly hues to neutral taupe and pinkish coral, Kardashian Kolors offers the perfect accessory for every woman—from teens to moms and everyone in between.”
The brand is known for the creative names it gives to its shades. Colours in the Kardashian Kolors line will reference members of the Kardashian family. A burgundy-coloured polish will be entitled ‘Sealed with a Kris’, in honour of the sisters’ mother Kris Jenner. Another shade, ‘Hard Kourt Fashionista’ alludes to Kourtney’s unique fashion style.
