Nando’s has caused controversy with its latest advertising campaign.
The South African company’s latest commercial features a number of infamous dictator look-a-likes frolicking in the sun.
The 45-second advert, entitled Last Dictator Standing, promotes Nando’s 6-pack meal offer.
The parody opens with Robert Mugabe sitting alone at a dinner table before he enters into a daydream.

In his dream, Mugabe has a water pistol fight with Colonel Gaddafi, makes sand angels with Saddam Hussein and plays on the swings with P.W Botha. He also interacts with Ugandan President Idi Amin.
When the dream sequence ends, a miserable-looking Mugabe is left sitting at his dinner table surrounded by empty seats.
The commercial ends with a voice-over saying: “This time of year, no-one should have to eat alone”.
Nando’s South Africa is no stranger to controversy. When Julius Malema was expelled from the African National Congress, the South African restaurant chain released an advert stating: “Juju, you’ve been served.”
Nando’s has been the centre of some heated topics of conversation in the past but has won a string of awards for various ad campaigns.
