Smartphones usually come with a high price tag, but American mobile phone manufacturer Motorola is about to reach out for consumers on a budget with its XT316 model.
The phone, which bears some resemblance to a Blackberry, features a QWERTY keyboard, a touchscreen display and access to the entertaining apps and games, the Motorola XT316 outperforms other low cost mobile devices."
The operating system on the phone will be Android, and consumers will be able to use Google Maps and Google Talk on the device.
The phone is currently available in China, where it retails at 1,498 RMB (€165). It will be released in Taiwan, Latin America and Hong Kong in mid-July as the Motorola SPICE key.
The rest of Asia and the European market will receive the device as the Motorola FIRE later this summer.
