Nelson Mandela’s fashion line made its runway debut at South African fashion week yesterday.
The range is called 46664, which is the number Mandela was given upon his arrival at South Africa’s Robben Island prison in 1964.
The line was launched to raise money for Mandela’s charity, which is dedicated to combating the spread of HIV and AIDS.
The 46664 collection features a range of apparel for men and women including patchwork shorts and tailor-made suits.
Many of the clothes use prints inspired by the loose shirts that Mandela famously wore during his presidency.

Vivid colours like pink, green, orange and purple are featured heavily in the range and neutral shades like charcoal and slate used for a more understated look.
Between seven and nine percent of the revenue generated by the 46664 fashion range will go to Mandela’s foundation.
