Welsh rugby ace Gareth Thomas struck up a friendship with the revered French designer two years ago and has been an avid fan of the brand ever since.
Gareth Thomas, known as Alfie, has now been honoured with his own range of trainers called the Alfie flats.
The shoes, which start at £580, have become an internet sensation and have already sold out on the company’s website.
The 6ft 3in rugby star is also the inspiration behind the ‘tattoo parlour’ at Louboutin’s Parisian boutique, which allows men to personalise their favourite shoes.
