Prada has landed in hot water over its latest Miu Miu campaign, which features young actress Hailee Steinfeld.
The advert shows the 14-year-old True Grit star sitting on railway tracks and crying.
The image, which was captured by renowned fashion photographer and film maker Bruce Weber, has been slammed by critics and branded as ‘irresponsible’ advertising.
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned the advert, for showing the teenage star in a dangerous situation.

Prada defended the advert, claiming the image was “part of a serious, high-fashion campaign”, which was “based on the set of an imaginary film”.
The Prada campaign is the latest in a string of adverts to be banned by ASA.
The advertising watchdog recently banned a Marc Jacobs advert starring Dakota Fanning, claiming that the Lolita-style advert sexualised children.
Yesterday it accused Lynx’s latest advertising campaign of degrading women and banned the ads featuring Lucy Pinder.
